Play It Green (a B Corp-certified impact business) was created to provide a simple and cost-effective way for people, businesses and organisations to take their next step to a more sustainable future.
The company also provides needed funds to good causes by giving 10% of its turnover to charity and Play It Green members choose where their 10% goes to!
While the environment has deteriorated over the past few decades, the changes we need to make are not just about ourselves but for the next generation
Our two founders, Richard and Chris, were brought together by their children and their love of the planet, its people, and our children
They also wanted to improve social inequalities caused by climate change.
Through a journey of education and footprint reduction and nature repair (reforestation, coastal repair and seaforestation), you can take immediate action on your environmental impact.
We strongly believe in the power of both individual and collective action, and the only way to make a difference is to live more sustainably.

The challenge
As a business dedicated to helping corporations and hospitality venues go green, Play It Green regularly review their own suppliers and Tech stack to ensure they are always using the most climate-conscious options available.
The team at Play It Green were first introduced to EcoSend by a mutual client, prompting Richard & Chris to get in touch for an online demonstration and review of the platform.
After learning more about the carbon-impact of email Marketing and the features offered by EcoSend, the Play It Green team made the decision to migrate their email campaigns from their existing provider, Intuit Mailchimp.
This ensures Play It Green's choice of email supplier aligns with their company mission and values, and is part of the evolution of the company as it aims to reduce the footprint of its activities regularly.
Results
Migrating their data from Mailchimp easily into EcoSend was a key criteria for Play It Green. With EcoSend's dedicated Mailchimp Importer, all of Play It Green's contacts, including their custom 'tags' and subscription preferences, were imported in one upload session directly into the Contacts area of their new EcoSend platform.
Next, Play It Green built out their weekly Sustainability Newsletter using EcoSend's no-code, drag & drop email creator. This newsletter gives recipients a top-tip of the week for living more Sustainably, and is a big hit among the EcoSend team themselves!
A Newsletter template was saved using the EcoSend Saved Blocks feature, which can be updated with new content and images each week.
With EcoSend's Schedule Broadcast function, each edition of the Newsletter can be prepared in advance and sent out at an optimal time for open rates and engagement.
Play It Green also deploy a pop-up EcoSend Form on their website, to collect email addresses of new subscribers and funnel these directly into their contact base and Newsletter list.
