Driven to Make a Difference
Our story begins in 2015 with Natalie Luckham (formerly Sherman), a social media manager who had been honing her craft in the action (and occasional mania) of local government. Moving on from those oh-so-fun days, Natalie was determined to harness social media to resource the difference-makers of the world – whether they be charities or companies. If you could create profit from social media, surely you could create real change too, right?
So Naturally Social Became a Thing
It started with social media. With engaging the great buzz of conversation and banter on the web. But after working with many businesses, we realised the best results occurred when all communications were co-ordinated, working together as part of a wider strategy. So Naturally Social shifted focus to promote conversation from every angle – while keeping social at the sharp end of what we do.
Since Naturally Social’s launch we’ve supported the impact of ambitious charities and ethical companies alike, optimising their communications, creating real results and generally blowing the socks off the digital world.
The challenge
As a dedicated B-Corp, Natalie and the team at Naturally Social regularly review their Suppliers and Partners to ensure they work with organisations who reflect Naturally Social’s company values and mission.
Having heard from other B-Corps who had made the switch from Mailchimp to EcoSend, Natalie reached out to the EcoSend team to review the platform and trial the features.
Although EcoSend’s Sustainability credentials were a motivating factor in switching, Natalie and her Marketing team also required a sophisticated set of features to service their requirements, including:

In the initial phase of migration, the Naturally Social Marketing team used the EcoSend Mailchimp Importer to bring across their audiences from Mailchimp, along with all associated tags and custom data.
This ensured their contacts were ready to be segmented according to these tags within EcoSend Contacts, so that targeted messaging could be sent to each group.
Naturally Social also used EcoSend’s Newsletter Template Import to migrate their Mailchimp Newsletter straight into EcoSend, ensuring there were no delays in their campaign cadence due to unnecessary editing time.
Having switched over their Newsletter campaigns and audiences, the Naturally Social team next started to build out EcoSend Forms for both Lead Magnet offers and Webinar registrations.
Having built out EcoSend inline Forms and embedded these into the Naturally Social website, the team then attached EcoSend Automated Messages to the relevant Forms.
Via these Automations, Lead Magnet offers are sent out to each submission, and Webinar registrants are sent drip campaigns with all the information they require to attend their online sessions.
